Elizabeth Watson is a character in The Watsons. She is the eldest daughter of Mr. Watson of Stanton, Surrey, and his late wife.[1]

Early life[]
Unlike her youngest sister, Emma, Elizabeth grew up in the village with her immediate family. She knew Tom Musgrave when he first came to Surrey six years ago and received a great deal of attention from him; however, at the time, she preferred her brother Robert's friend Mr. Purvis. Her sister Penelope set Purvis against her, intending to win him herself, but instead he discontinued his visits and soon after married another. Elizabeth knew that she'd never love anyone as much as she did Purvis.[1]
