Mr. Charles Musgrove, Esq. of Uppercross in Somerset is a character in Persuasion. He is father to Charles Musgrove, his heir[1], and two other daughters, Louisa and Henrietta Musgrove. He is married to Mrs. Musgrove, and has several grandchildren from Charles and his wife Mary. Mr. Musgrove is a man of consequence and very wealthy. Unlike Sir Walter Elliot, his finances are not suffering. In Somerset, he rivals Sir Walter in landed property and importance[2].
