Mrs. Crawford is a character mentioned in Mansfield Park. She dies before the course of the novel and thus makes no appearances.
Mrs. Crawford was married to Admiral Crawford, the paternal uncle of Henry and Mary Crawford, before her death. Their marriage was tempestuous and they did not get along or agree on many things. The only thing they did agree on was their mutual love for their nephew and niece. Mrs. Crawford doted on Mary, while her husband doted on Henry. After Mrs. Crawford's death, the admiral invited his mistress to stay under his roof with his nephew and niece.
